Sustainable Model for Mechanization of Peppermint Oil
Alina Kunika, 2014, has worked on ultrasound-assisted machine for the extraction of essential oil from waste carrot seeds where essential oil yield increased by approx. 33% . Gomez has used microwave protocol to extract lipophilic substances.
This study aims to predict the factors that evaluate the microwave heating rate of plants and solvent mixture. The power output affects the rate of extraction of essential oil from the peppermint plant. The extraction rate of essential oil increased with an increase in the power output. The oil extraction system is illustrated as in Fig. 6 [5].
