Fact Sheet 2-24-17, Pacific Biodiesel
o 1 gallon of virgin sunflower oil produces .95 gallon of biodiesel o 1 gallon of used sunflower cooking oil can be recycled to make .93 gallon of biodiesel o 1 gallon of biodiesel yields 1 Lb. of glycerin and ¼ Lb. of potassium sulfate • An example of an annual yield: o 115 acres x 100 gallon yield per acre = 11,500 gallons of sunflower oil

Characterization of Sunflower Oil Biodiesel as Alternative
The samples analyzed at rates of 5, 10, and 20 °C min −1 show a single well-defined step which describes the decomposition and volatilization processes (Fig. 3).The decomposition of sunflower oil occurs in the range of 320…485 °C and biodiesel in the range of 140…325 °C.
State Line Biofuels operates a 120,000 gallon/year (300 gallon per batch capacity) biodiesel production facility, providing biofuel and livestock meal for on-farm use. The production capacity of State Line Biofuels can additionally serve oilseed pressing and biodiesel production needs of 10-15 farms within a 30 mile radius, encompassing 1,500

Biomethane and biodiesel production from sunflower crop: A
These waste streams are typically burned or even left unused, creating serious environmental issues. In the present study, sunflower oil and its residues are used for biofuel production in the biorefinery framework. The results showed the high potential of the sunflower crop for biogas and biodiesel production, even without pretreatment and acidic
Biodiesel is an alternative, renewable and sustainable source of energy that has become more attractive recently due to environmental concern and diminishing petroleum reserves.

The Relationship between Biodiesel Prices Increases and UCO
According to market sources, the rise in biodiesel prices could be linked to the escalation in used cooking oil (UCO) prices, which experienced a slight dip this week but have seen significant increases since November 2023. For instance, UCO EXW Netherlands surged by 12.4% between Nov 2023 and Mar 2024, see Figure 2.
They are basically vegetable oil or derived from animal fat and hence conventional transesterification processes can be used for biodiesel production from used cooking oil. Waste cooking oil and trap grease contain 5–30 % and 40–100 % of free fatty acids, respectively, making it a good alternative source (Fan and Burto 2009). Large quantity

Experimental Investigations and Concise Review on Biodiesel
The biodiesel yields from sunflower oil, soybean oil, and used vegetable cooking oil sunflower oil were 93.5%, 84.1%, and 76.4%, respectively. Therefore, on biodiesel production, the reduction of NaOH was estimated about 75% by replacing with CaO from burned lime.
